For Immediate Release

August 18, 2009- Raleigh, NC Local online, outdoor, and print advertising company, 360Raleigh, announced a partnership with Creative Hybrid Solutions today. 360Raleigh, based in Raleigh, NC, has added EnviroMagnetics FuelSaver systems from Creative Hybrid Solutions to its fleet of BioDiesel powered scrolling mobile billboard trucks.

The EnviroMagnetics FuelSaver system uses space-age technology to improve fuel economy and performance on most cars and trucks by using magnetic fields to rearrange fuel molecules entering the engine. Under the program, Creative Hybrid Solutions will monitor 360Raleigh’s mobile billboard fleet for 30 days and compare the fuel economy with the company’s historical fuel usage records.

According to Executive Vice President and COO, Dane Wallace, “We’re excited about the program for lots of reasons. First of all, the EnviroMagnetics system allows us to further reduce our fuel consumption which is good for the planet and good for the bottom-line, Secondly, we’re always excited about working with local businesses to support good ideas and good people. I think Calvin Ruehl and Creative Hybrid are both. ”

“We’re confident we can show businesses like 360Raleigh how effective the EnviroMagnetics FuelSaver system can be. It’s a small thing that many businesses and individuals can do to make a big impact on the environment and help their budgets at the same time.” said Calvin Ruehl of Creative Hybrid Solutions.

360Raleigh launched its earth-friendly initiatives in July of 2008 by using recycled cooking oil as BioDiesel in its scrolling mobile billboard trucks. In 2009 the company partnered with NCGreenPower, http://www.ncgreenpower.org, to promote the BioDiesel program and the purchase of Carbon-Offsets. 360Raleigh intends to further expand its green initiatives this fall by switching to synthetic motor oil and eco-friendly anti-freeze alternatives.

Read the NPR Article “Economic Indicators Index Points To Slow Recovery“.

End of the Recession

We’re almost there…just a little longer. Obviously, I am an optimist. I see the jar as always half, possibly 3/4 full… depending on the angle. Please don’t hold that against me.

You know what else I am? I am a capitalist…and an opportunist. I like making money and building successful businesses. I also like helping other people do the same thing.

The reality is that the largest accumulation of wealth since the great depression (some folks were calling it a recession) is about to turn into a slow and steady re-distribution or re-investment of wealth…of equal or larger proportions. As money is infused back into the marketplace, down through banks, and corporations into the hands of consumers will we be ready?

Small business owners in every sector have been fighting for dear life to “survive the recession”. Lay-offs, cut-backs, belt-tightening of all sorts, and cash flow crisis have put us into a “hold and wait” mindset. Unfortunately, as the recovery ensues we’ll need a “pounce and grab” attitude to take advantage of new market opportunities, new customers, and new revenue streams.

Savvy Business Owners and Executives are already gearing-up and making strategic plans to capture market share and slingshot around competitors as we leave the recession behind and move into the dawn of a new expansion era.

Locally, we are working to develop new tools, new ideas, and new opportunities for local small business owners to re-think and re-position for the Recovery. I would like to invite you to join us for the following event:

“Leverage Your Network to Prepare for the Recovery” with author and speaker Gary Davis.

When: July 29th 5:30pm-7:00pm

Where: Royal Banquet Hall Hillsborough Street Raleigh

More Information & RSVP: CLICK HERE

If you’re an Executive or Business Owner, you will not want to miss this timely event.

See you there.

The 360Raleigh Mobile Billboard crew was on hand at the Downtown Live Concert Series this weekend. We got lots of attention and had a great time with the other 20,000 people in attendance. We’re looking forward to the next Downtown Live Concert on July 25 featuring The Charlie Daniels Band.

Mobile Billboards have a 95% retention rate making them powerful and effective advertising tools. We use them in conjunction with our Segway Street Teams too. That creates multiple layers of impressions during each event. Learn more at http://www.360raleigh.com/BusinesstoBusiness/360Raleigh.html

A lot is changing in marketing and advertising.

The Internet has created new and innovative opportunities to reach more people and more highly targeted audiences. The new rage is Social Media. A small business owner can now create & publish content directly to his ideal client using very sophisticated yet simple to use tools like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, My Space, and others.

There has also been a corresponding shift in “off-line” advertising options. Locally owned-small businesses are opting for innovative and fun ways to reach their ideal customer using Mobile Billboards, Segway Street Teams, and other localized and targeted marketing ideas.

We’ve moved beyond expensive and ineffective traditional forms of advertising.

At the end of the day we’re getting more personal and localized with our marketing messages. We’re reaching the right audience…the folks who have the highest probability of purchasing our products and services. And we’re using cutting-edge Internet technology and innovative off-line technology to do it.

That makes it a great time to be helping small businesses grow.

Pop-quiz: “How do I know which kind of marketing and advertising will work for my business?”

Well…it all will.

Lot’s of times small business owners get really frustrated about choosing which kind of advertising to promote their products or services. I think this belief comes from two sources:

A very sophisticated advertising sales rep. sold them something that did not work.

People want to believe there is a “silver bullet” that will unlock success for their business.

The truth is a little more complicated. All advertising works. The key is understanding how and when to use the variety of media available…and what message to communicate… and to whom.

What does that mean?

Basically, all of the various forms of advertising options have a few rules or guidelines that make them extremely effective. Follow the rules… you get return on investment. Break the rules…you get frustrated. That’s when I start hearing things like,

“I tried Radio and it doesn’t work.“

“Billboards are just for branding. We can’t afford to brand.” and so on…

Bottom-line: If you can’t afford to follow the rules for a particular kind of advertising… DO NOT DO IT!!! No matter how nice the sales rep. is!

Now sometimes the rules involve frequency (how often the message is seen or heard). Sometimes the rules are about target audience. Sometimes the rules are about how many words are on the page. It just depends on the type of advertising being considered.

In most cases an advertising campaign will be even more effective when more than one type of advertising media are used in combination with each other. For example; a radio campaign directing people to a website or, a mobile billboard campaign with a direct mail campaign to the same neighborhoods. The fact is that people live multi-media lives and respond to advertising with multiple “touch-points” in different kinds of media. In actuality, the more “touch points” the better.

The real question is, “If I follow the rules, how many different kinds of advertising can I afford?”

That question would probably yield a lot more success…and a lot better results. Give it a try on your next campaign.

Great, the recession is over. You hung in there. You survived "the worst recession since the Great Depression". Now what are you doing to take advantage of the opportunities for growth and expansion that is upon us?

A heard a story on NPR this morning that caught my attention…

“The United States and the rest of the world appear to be slowly emerging from the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. Now comes the debate over what lessons we should take from the experience.” Read the rest.

This was the commentator’s lead-in to the story. Which is really something unique. For the past few weeks, I’ve been hearing and reading reports in the news about the state of the economy. What used to be only horrific news about “The worst recession since the great depression” has shifted to news reports, albeit skeptical, about studies, surveys, and government reports indicating progress up and out of a declining economy.

What got my attention was the belief that things are improving. This is not a news report on a study or survey. This was a story based on the assumption that the economy is improving and what we should learn from the experience. That is a shift from fact to belief. .. An emotional shift. Now we’re getting somewhere.

Now I really wouldn’t give my last two cents for the information that most people call “news”. In my opinion, the news is not “new” at all. The fact that there is a buzz building in the news media about a recovering economy only means one thing..the economy has been recovering for months!

Now’s the time to get your business jump started with fresh new ideas to improve operational efficiency, customer service, and marketing. Don’t wake up in the morning to find that technology and your customers have passed your business by. Beta-test new ways to communicate with your customers (old and new), look around at new technology to make your business easier to manage, and talk with your network about the latest most innovative forms of marketing and advertising your business.

Great, the recession is over. You hung in there. You survived “the worst recession since the Great Depression”. Now what are you doing to take advantage of the opportunities for growth and expansion that’s coming next?
